Robot lamp, freshly primed and painted, then slapped in a new bulb and shade. Ready to destroy the darkness.


Installed a double drapery rod with "energy saving" blackout drapes and then added a blackout liner. Not sure about the energy saving sales gimmick. I still feel tired.

Baby's Room Phase 1 Complete!

Well the first part of the nursery is complete! We put up the blinds, installed the ceiling fan, installed new outlet hardware and switches and painted the room a nice, soothing sage green (think slashdot). The second phase is more decorative as I still need to install the crown molding, and hang all the cool robot and computer pictures. Plus I need to find a little bookshelf for all of his bedtime books and tech manuals. =)


Painting done! Blinds installed! Toy box/blanket box built! Crib put together and in place! (Big thanks to Nicky, Michelle, Tess and Annie for putting the crib together...but yes, mostly Nicky!)


Slider chair with ottoman and dresser. HUGE thanks to my dad for helping me get that beast of a dresser out of the garage and up the stairs!

Hi! Well, since the last posting things have been rolling right along. We closed on the new home, packed up the rental town home we were staying in, and have been S L O W L Y unpacking and getting things in their rightful place. We finally bought all the baby's furniture and have his room set up. That was something we really couldn't do in the town house because it was just more stuff to pack up and move so we're happy to get all that gear settled. A HUGE thanks to Nicky, Michelle, Paul, Mike and Steve for helping us get moved out and moved in. It would have been nearly impossible to do it without you. Momma and baby are doing great, he's sleeping a bit longer at night now which is freaking awesome.

Another nightly picture blitz of momma and baby + one of us giving the little monster a bath. We're SO happy he doesn't scream bloody murder when it's bath time. Hopefully it'll stay that way. In other news, we do the final walk through on our house that's being built tomorrow and we're set to close on Thursday 2/12! Yay!
